- Students in grades 1-6, attending classes at Francis Walsh Intermediate School, must be picked-up in the side foyer of the school. They may only leave the building if accompanied by an authorized adult.
- Late Pick-ups - If a child is not picked up by 12 noon and the parent has
not notified staff, emergency numbers are called. If at 1 p.m. the child remains
with us and there is no word from a family member, staff will contact the
Branford Police Department. Late fees are charged for a child picked up after
12:05 p.m. It is $10. for each 15 minutes.
- Grades listed in course descriptions are for students in those grades in
the coming Fall of the school year.
- All Walsh Intermediate School rules apply. This includes:
- No smoking on school grounds. Students found smoking are expelled. No course refund is given.
- School property must be respected. Offenders will be required to pay for any damages.
- Visitors to Branford Summer Studies
- June 1- June 25: come to our Branford HS Office, in Room D-10. Open weekdays 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
- June 28- July 23: come to our Walsh Intermediate School Office (in the Nurse’s Office). Open weekdays 8:30 a.m.-11:45 a.m., when classes meet.
- Emergency closing announced by 8 a.m. on WELI 960 AM.
- Students provide supplies at their own expense unless indicated otherwise.
- Courses begin on date/day shown on this site. Room assignments are posted in the Walsh Intermediate School side entrance.
- Directions to Branford High School - Rte 1 to light by Dunkin Donuts and
Global gas station. Take sharp right from New Haven direction, bear left from
Guilford direction. School is on the left.
Directions to Francis Walsh Intermediate School – Rte 1 to Windmill Hill Road by gas station and Cork Shop. Proceed to end/stop sign. Turn left. School is 500 yards up on the right. Entrance is on far left side.
